SSA Skills Testing
Again in 2017, in conjunction with the five Race Clubs, SSA is implementing Skills Testing for all program participants. Previously this has been only available to National Children’s Squad members. Last season it was made available to all SSA members who participated in the National Children’s Series.
The testing will be held during the Holiday Program period and is conducted by representatives from SSA. Results are presented to participants in a “Dashboard” format. The idea is that the results are easy to understand for parents and athletes.
The data from the Skills Test is used by SSA to track progress and set benchmarks for age groups. This makes it easier for parents to track their child’s progress and help Clubs find strengths and weaknesses in their programs.
FCRC sees this testing as crucial and along with the other clubs is incorporating it as part of our program for all athletes.
